ROCHESTER, N.Y. – On Saturday, June 14, people around the country will rally against President Trump on what is being called “No Kings Day.”
The organizers of No Kings say Saturday will be a nationwide day of defiance to “stand together against cruelty, corruption and authoritarianism,” and “reject authoritarianism, billionaire-first politics, and the militarization of our democracy.”
According to the No Kings website, more than 1,500 cities across all 50 states will take to the streets on Saturday.
Here is a list of protests happening in the area:
Henrietta: Parade from 2 to 4 p.m. on Calkins Road from the Town Hall to the Rec Center. Brighton: 9 to 11 a.m. at Twelve Corners. Pittsford: Parade from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m from South Main Street and State Street intersection. Fairport: Parade from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. all along West Church Street toward Perinton Park. Irondequoit: Parade from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. from Lakeshore Boulevard and Durand Eastman Park. Canandaigua: 2 to 4 p.m. on South Main Street and Eastern Boulevard. Lima: 12 to 1 p.m. at Four corners. Geneseo: 2 to 3 p.m. at Geneseo Gateway Park. Leicester: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Leicester Village Park.
