New footage has emerged of DeMarcus Cousins clashing with fans during a heated incident in Puerto Rico.
The former NBA star, who spent seven seasons with the Sacramento Kings before bouncing between six other franchises, is currently a member of the Guaynabo Mets.
Cousins was seen in an altercation with a fan courtside before being ejectedX: @LaGuerraBSNHe stepped away from The Association in April 2023, having been named an All-Star on four occasions during his 11-year career, and now plays in Puerto Rico’s Baloncesto Superior Nacional league.
Cousins, who Kobe Bryant once tried to recruit for the Lakers, was ejected during a game against Vaqueros de Bayamon on Monday, and as he was leaving the court, appeared to provoke some members of the crowd.
Footage shared across social media showed the 34-year-old first having an altercation with a spectator who was sat courtside, where he was eventually pulled away by his teammates after the man got to his feet.
After Cousins was ejected, he was seen flipping off a number of fans as he made his way to the tunnel, before multiple people showered him in beer.
The basketball star then tried to go at the mob, but was held back by security.
He pushed back against the guards for a few seconds, before they were able to usher him into the tunnel.
The first footage of the incident to surface was shot from across the court, and in the hours since, a new angle has emerged that captured it up close.
As the basketball star is being led away by a man in a Mets hooded sweatshirt, he appears to put a hand in the face of one fan, who retaliated by launching his drink.
When other cups start raining down Cousins — who is an investor in another NBA star’s cannabis brand — begins shoving the security guards before being wrestled to the ground.
As the camera cuts to a wide shot, he is seen being dragged away down the tunnel.

“Sad to see all around. He’ll probably be on the first flight home. Crazy fall…” one person said.
“Why he doing all that? Just get your money man,” another wrote.
“Guy used to be top 5 in the league man. Sad,” a third said.
Other fans, however, argued Cousins’ actions were justified, given he was showered in beer by unruly fans.
The former NBA star, who was averaging 19.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists across nine games before the ejection, has yet to comment on the incident.
