(KRON) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car outside the city limits of Santa Rosa Saturday night.
The crash occurred around 11:34 p.m. on Piner Road, east of Willowside Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
“Initial investigation indicates a BMW was driving east on Piner Road when the pedestrian was observed walking south across the roadway, directly in the path of the BMW,” CHP said. “The BMW collided with the pedestrian, resulting in fatal injuries.”
