Florida star Colby Shelton appears to be nearing a return to the lineup just as the Gators begin postseason play.
Shelton, who hasn’t played since April 26 due to a hamate injury, is considered “day to day,” according to a report from Nick Marcinko. While he didn’t like live batting practice on Thursday, Marcinko reports Shelton no longer has a brace on as he works his way back from injury.

He hit .377 with 7 home runs and 35 RBI before suffering an injury in late April. He’s still Florida’s season-long leader in both batting average and OPS with a mark of 1.064.
