COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Two Mifflin Township police officers were shot Wednesday night, according to the president of the police union.
A Franklin County Sheriff's Office dispatcher confirmed officers responded to the area of the 2000 block of Cleveland Avenue Wednesday just before 7 p.m.
Officers are also reported to be in the area of Perdue Avenue and Mecca Road, a short distance away. There is no word on whether the scenes are connected.
Brian Steel, the president of the Fraternal Order of Police, confirmed that the officers were taken to a local hospital for treatment, but did not have any further information at this time.
