COSTCO members have whined that the chain doesn’t bring things to America after shoppers abroad spot a new food court item.
American Costco shoppers have begged online for the good to come over here, claiming the company would have “a huge hit” if it did.

One customer in Mexico spotted a new food court item that Americans have made no effort to hide their jealousy for.
The Al Pastor Torta has been added to menus at Costco Mexico, complete with gouda cheese and an avocado sauce.
This was posted to Reddit, with the caption boasting that they ” Can’t wait to try it”.
But Americans in the comments were not so pleased at the idea that this torta was only to be found in Mexico.
Shoppers believe that the torta would do well over in the states, but would face competition from Mexican restaurants in Mexico.
One person said: “This would a a huge hit in America but has nothing on tortas mexicanas.”
And this was echoed in a similar comment: “Bring it to America lol although I agree with you.
“Even if it’s $5 here in San Jose California, just about every mile there’s a Mexican place that serves a good torta for $10-12.”
If this Costco in Mexico is selling the tortas, it might struggle against established Mexican restaurants in Mexico already.
Meanwhile, all some could muster was blind rage at the Costco system.
They added, eloquently: “And America gets the sh***y chicken bake… where is the sausage sandwich.”
And another disgruntled foodie said: “Ughhhhh stop. Every other country food court beats ours.”
It is important to note that the $5.20 price tag for the Costco torta may vary based on store and region.
The US Sun has contacted Costco for the exact price.
FOOD COURT RETRUN
The US Sun recently reported on the return of a fan favorite item to the Costco food court in the US.
But not everyone was surprised, given that they had been enjoying it at the local warehouse for a while now.
Nevertheless, fans have rejoiced at the return of onion rings to Costco food courts.
The happy member shared the news to Reddit on Saturday: “I haven’t seen onions since before the pandemic!
“There were onions at the food court tonight!”
But some revealed that they have had onions at their Costco for a while.
One person said: “Beaverton Costco; we had onions in little containers for a year or so now, but no crank machine back yet.”
Costco classic food court items
Hot Dog with Soda – $1.50 Pepperoni or Cheese Pizza slice – $1.99 Rotisserie Chicken Caesar Salad – $6.99 Turkey and Swiss Sandwich – $6.99 Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie – $2.49This was backed up by someone else: “Way more than a year.
“I’ve had onions in the Portland, Happy Valley and Tigard locations.”
A separate customer gave a reason as to why onions have not been available at all Costcos before.
They added: “From what I’ve been told it’s unlikely that will happen.
“The reason they took them away was because people would load up their soda cup to the top with “free” onions and it was a big loss for the store.
“Now they use little disposable cups in the mornings that have to be prepped daily, but due to lack of space, lack of employees, lack of prep time they usually run out by midday and unless it’s unusually slow there won’t be more prepped until the next morning.”
