Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to strengthen its battle against cybercrime with the establishment of 20 new cybercrime police stations, informed Director General of Police (DGP) YB Khurania today.
Speaking at the inauguration of a state-level workshop on “Cyber Crime Investigation and Cyber Intelligence” at the Cyber Complex in Bhubaneswar, the DGP highlighted that the Odisha Police is actively training officers to tackle cyber threats, with state-level programs already in place and district-level training planned soon.
With 14 cyber police stations already operational, the addition of these new facilities will significantly enhance the state’s ability to prevent and investigate cyber offenses, he added.
Additionally, the government has approved the establishment of the Odisha Cyber Command Center in Bhubaneswar, which will serve as a central hub for cyber intelligence, offender tracking, and victim support, further bolstering Odisha’s cyber policing capabilities.
