The road woes just wouldn’t end for the Winnipeg Jets.
Thomas Harley scored a power-play goal early in overtime to give the Dallas Stars a 2-1 win over the visiting Jets in the series-ending Game 6 on Saturday.
The Jets lost all six road games this post-season and have lost 10 in a row away from home in the playoffs dating back to 2023.
The Jets played with heavy hearts Saturday after star forward Mark Scheifele’s father, Brad, died unexpectedly overnight.
Scheifele decided to play in the game, telling coach Scott Arniel that’s what his dad would have wanted him to do.
Scheifele was in the penalty box for the winning goal after tripping up Sam Steel late in regulation.
The native of Kitchener, Ont., opened the scoring in the second period with an emotional goal for Winnipeg before Steel tied it at 1-1.
More to come.
