SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Another major retailer in San Francisco's Union Square is closing next month. Saks Fifth Avenue is closing its downtown store at 384 Post St., a Saks Global spokesperson said in a statement. The retailer cited the decision to close as one to "focus on long-term growth."
The store's last day will be on Saturday, May 10.
Last summer, Saks Fifth Avenue ended its in-store shopping experience. It transitioned to appointment-only operations in which customers must set up an appointment before coming into the store.
Earlier this year, Bloomingdale's announced it was closing its flagship Union Square store.
