DENVER (KDVR) — Two people died and others were injured after a house fire in Centennial Thursday morning.
At about 2:30 a.m., the South Metro Fire Rescue posted on X that crews were responding to a single-family house fire at 6610 S. Oneida Court.
Around 30 minutes later, at 3:05 a.m., South Metro Fire said the fire was under control and all clear. Crews searched the first floor of the home and ensured the electricity was off.

FOX31's Jim Hooley is on scene and confirmed that the two people who died were among the six taken to the hospital. South Metro has not provided an update on the status of the other four victims.
Investigators determined the cause of the deadly fire was "accidental due to improper disposal of smoking materials outside."
The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office also assisted.
