A man drove his car into protesters outside a Tesla dealership in Palm Beach County, Florida over the weekend, authorities said.
None of the participants in the demonstration against President Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk were hurt in the incident.
It comes as protests pop up across the country looking to combat Musk’s role in the Trump administration and with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
The protests have turned violent and fueled concerns of political violence. There have been vandalized cars, gunshots at dealerships and more.
Attorney General Pam Bondi has labeled the incidents domestic terrorism.
Andrew Dutil drove his car onto the sidewalk on Saturday where protesters were gathered, according to The Associated Press.
Dutil was driving at a slow speed, forcing people to move out of the way, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
He was arrested and faces an assault charge.
Palm Beach County is home to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, where the president and Musk have spent time together.
Musk has faced increased backlash over DOGE’s role in dismantling various federal agencies.
His Tesla stock has dropped significantly since the start of the year and the protests across the country have become more frequent.
