The court gave the decision, considering that Yuzvendra Chahal will be playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 and won't be available for over two months. Hence, the high court directed the family court to decide the divorce petition by tomorrow.
The high court took the decision to waive the cooling-off period of six months, considering that Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma were living apart for a while. There was also compliance with the consent terms arrived at during mediation between the two parties as regards payment of alimony.

Then partial compliance was made and Chahal was asked to pay ₹4.75 crore to Dhanashree. The leg-spinner notably has paid ₹2.37 crores. After that, the plea was made before the high court related to partial compliance.
