SHERIFF’S REPORTS
The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office:
THREATS: Daniel R. Escamilla, 35, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail March 11 on suspicion of threats, battery, resisting, vandalism and violating his probation. He was arrested by the Mendocino County Department of Probation.
CONSPIRACY: Miguel Marin, 30, of Ukiah was booked at county jail March 11 on suspicion of conspiracy, possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and of violating his probation. He was arrested by the MCSO.
CONSPIRACY: Jaime Marin Juarez, 27, of Ukiah was booked at county jail March 11 on suspicion of conspiracy, possessing a controlled substance, and of violating his probation. He was arrested by the MCSO.
ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: Matthew L. Russell, 43, of Fort Bragg, was booked at county jail March 11 on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, battery, burglary and of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested by the Fort Bragg Police Department.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Donald R. Barsell, 66, of Fort Bragg, was booked at county jail March 12 on suspicion of domestic violence. He was arrested by the Ukiah Police Department.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: James M. Dodd Jr., 32, of Willits, was booked at county jail March 12 on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with priors, and of violating his county parole. He was arrested by the Willits Police Department.
GRAND THEFT: John V. Doyle, 36, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail March 12 on suspicion of grand theft, ID theft, forgery, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of ammunition and a firearm, carrying a concealed dirk or dagger and committing offenses while out on bail. He was arrested by the Ukiah Police Department.
TRANSPORTING MARIJUANA: Leonardo AvalosBucio, 56, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail March 13 on suspicion of transporting marijuana, possessing marijuana for sale, and of cultivating marijuana with illegal diversion of water. He was arrested by the California Highway Patrol.
DUI: Steffen R. Cantua, 29, of Willits, was booked at county jail March 13 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, evading by driving in the opposite direction of travel, reckless driving, and obstructing/resisting a first responder. He was arrested by the UPD.
DUI: Brett M. Fair, 54, of Solano County, was booked at county jail March 13 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the CHP.
DUI: Hensley Holt, 42, of Arcata, was booked at county jail March 13 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the MCSO.
CONSPIRACY: Victoria K. Vasquez, 28, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail March 13 on suspicion of conspiracy, petty theft, obstructing/resisting a first responder, failure to appear and violating her probation. She was arrested by the UPD.
ASSAULT WITH A FIREARM: Thomas J. Williams, 42, of Redwood Valley, was booked at county jail March 13 on suspicion of shooting an an inhabited dwelling, assault with a firearm and of illegally possessing a firearm. He was arrested by the UPD.
Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the information is in error should contact the appropriate agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper. The Daily Journal makes no exceptions.
