Mrs. Annette McCaleb Moss, age 80, of Lancaster, TN, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
Mrs. Moss was born January 25, 1945 in the Flat Rock Community of Smith County, TN, a daughter of the late Odis McCaleb and Mary Lou Highers McCaleb. She was also preceded in death by Brother-in-Law; Jerry “Jaybird” Mabery. Mrs. Moss married her high school sweetheart, Albert Gore Moss on May 29, 1963. She was a 1963 graduate of Gordonsville High School. Mrs. Annette was a longtime member of the Lancaster Baptist Church. She was a great seamstress, an avid gardener, and a wonderful cook. Mrs. Annette loved her family dearly, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She and Albert were longtime residents of Lancaster and she kept very close friendships in her community.
Mrs. Moss is survived by Husband of 61 years; Albert Gore Moss of Lancaster, TN. Daughter; Lisa (Ron) Pierce of Gordonsville, TN. Grandsons; Luke (Hailey) Pierce and Jake (Mayce) Pierce. Great-grandchildren; Hazel Jaymes Pierce, Ford Smith Pierce, Kyler Bodie Pierce, and Kimber Kate Pierce. Siblings; Vicky Mabery of Gordonsville, TN, Sam B. (Carolyn) McCaleb of Lebanon, TN, and Jimmy D. (Dorothy) McCaleb of Hiwassee, TN. Several nieces and nephews. Special Friend; Faye Hailey.
Graveside Services and Interment for Mrs. Moss will be private.
To honor the memory of Mrs. Annette and her many adoptions of neighborhood cats and dogs, the family asks that memorials be made to the Smith County Humane Society.
