India fielders dropped four catches during the final match in Dubai on March 9. The Men in Blue had a tough time in the field. Mohammed Shami, Shreyas Iyer, and Shubman Gill missed catching opportunities, while Rohit Sharma also failed to hold onto a difficult chance in New Zealand's innings.

T. Dilip also praised the team's commitment and unity during the Champions Trophy. He stated that no effort on the field was too small, as every player contributed to winning the title. The fielding coach added that players displayed both intensity and camaraderie on the field.
"We are champions. Fielding is two sides of the same coin. On one side, we always talk about intensity, aggression, attitude, and reflexes. On the other side, we always speak about camaraderie, trust, and the brotherhood between each other. And together, that's what we displayed throughout this tournament—as brothers and with intensity. Well done, guys," he added.
Ravindra Jadeja Played a Crucial Role in Champions Trophy 2025 Victory
With the bat, he remained unbeaten on 9 runs. The southpaw joined KL Rahul after Hardik Pandya's dismissal and also hit the winning runs to seal the title.
This was India’s second consecutive ICC title, following their T20 World Cup 2024 triumph in Barbados against South Africa. India became the only team to win the Champions Trophy three times.
