UNION COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Union County Emergency Management is surveying damage along Friendly Baptist Church Road in Unionville.

The National Weather Service is investigating the area to confirm if a tornado touched down during Wednesday morning's storms. Officials say no injuries were reported.

During the storm, there was a brief tornado warning around 7:30 a.m. in Chester County and around 8:30 in Union County.

At its peak, there were about 1,700 reported power outages in the Porter Ridge area.
