NFL free agency is set to begin on March 12, 2025. The deadline for teams to apply the franchise tag was March 4 and a negotiation period begins on March 10. Free agency officially begins at 4 pm ET.
What is the Negotiation Window?
NFL teams are allowed to begin negotiating with players on March 10 with certified agents of players who are set to become unrestricted free agents on March 12. Players can agree to a contract but cannot officially sign as a free agent until the free agency period begins on March 12 at 4 pm ET.
