UNC set season highs in both made three-pointers and assists in a dominant 91-59 win at Virginia Tech Tuesday night. It’s the Tar Heels’ sixth straight win – extending what was already a season-long streak – and fifth in a row by double digits.

R.J. Davis, Drake Powell and Ian Jackson each made at least three threes, with Jackson knocking down five of his eight attempts to score 19 points. The star freshman was one of five Tar Heels to reach double figures, along with Davis (15 points), Powell (13), Seth Trimble (17) and Ven-Allen Lubin (10). Lubin added XX rebounds to register his first double-double as a Tar Heel. As a team, UNC shot 33-56 (58.9 percent) from the field and 15-28 (53.6 percent) on threes. The team also totaled 24 assists – 12 of which came from Elliot Cadeau, who fell on short of matching his career high.
The win improves UNC to 20-11 overall and 13-6 in ACC play. The Tar Heels will wrap up the regular season when they host No. 2 Duke at the Smith Center Saturday night at 6:30 p.m.
