The Beatles alum posted the announcement, which involved his other popular band Paul McCartney and the Wings, on Instagram on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
The video featured in the post included throwback footage of McCartney’s time performing and recording with his 1970s rock band. As McCartney, 82, explained in his Instagram caption, he will be releasing a book about his time with the group later this year.
Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run was written with help from “dozens of hours of interviews with Paul and numerous key players in the band’s orbit,” according to a description of the book on the “Maybe I’m Amazed” singer’s website. It will document McCartney’s early years with Wings, which he formed shortly after the Beatles broke up, through the group’s dissolution in the early 1980s.

“Can’t wait to get this book!” one fan wrote as another agreed that the book was “A NEED, I LOVE WINGS ?.”
