He also claimed that Facebook will “restore” freedom of expression on the platform. “First, we’re going to get rid of fact-checkers and replace them with community notes, similar to X, starting in the US.” Zuckerberg doesn’t elaborate, but it’s assumed that people will be left to discern and defend facts the way X users do.
