COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – A Sumter man has been convicted after diverting millions of dollars in government contracts for personal use.
According to the Attorney General’s Office, Daniel Criswell Lee, 55, was a project manager at Agile Infrastructure Service, LLC. and represented the company in the bidding process to obtain a government contract.
Officials said evidence revealed Lee diverted money received for a project to companies under his control. Lee reportedly obtained $2.8 million in funds.
Better Business Bureau describes Agile as a construction management company.

United States District Court Judge Sherri A. Lydon sentenced Lee to 33 months imprisonment, to be followed by a three-year term of court-ordered supervision. Lee was also ordered to pay $2.8 million in restitution.
