(KRON) – More than 300 pounds of marijuana and thousands of dollars in cash were found in a car, according to California Highway Patrol.

Late Wednesday night, CHP Dublin officers pulled over a Honda Accord for speeding 100 mph on Interstate 580 in Livermore.

The officers quickly smelled marijuana odor and noticed multiple large garbage bags. After a police search, officers found 370 pounds of marijuana and more than $36,000 in cash (pictured above). 

CHP reminds residents of the consequences of unsafe driving, “Speeding is dangerous and illegal. High speeds reduce reaction time and put everyone at risk.”
