A college football stadium in Kentucky has been submerged and remains underwater due to catastrophic flooding in the region that has resulted in fatalities and forced evacuations.
The University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky has been especially hit hard with many facilities still soaked due to the flooding. That includes James H. Taylor, II Stadium where the Patriots play their home games in the Mid-South Conference of the NAIA.
The flooding is from the nearby Cumberland River with the area forecasted to be in a flood warning through Thursday. According to Matt Jones with KY Sports Radio, Kentucky football has used the University of the Cumberlands field for practice when traveling to face Tennessee.
