— Jordan Schultz (@Schultz_Report) February 7, 2025Sterling Sharpe played all 7 seasons of his NFL career with the Green Bay Packers. He was a 3-time All-Pro wide receiver and twice led the league in receiving touchdowns. He also led all NFL players in receptions 3 times and receiving yards once.
However, Sharpe’s career was cut short by a neck injury. After undergoing surgery in 1994, Sharpe was never able to return to football. Sharpe was previously honored as a College Football Hall of Famer as well as a Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer.
Sharpe is also the first former South Carolina player to ever be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. While playing for the Gamecocks, Sharpe earned first-team All-America honors in 1987 and went on to become the No. 7 overall pick in the 1988 NFL Draft. His No. 2 jersey has since been retired by South Carolina.
The 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame Class will be enshrined on Aug. 2, 2025, in Canton, Ohio.
