On Friday, SeaWorld San Diego’s Rescue Team celebrated a heartwarming milestone, returning two rehabilitated sea lions to the ocean at Camp Pendleton’s training beach. This marks the county’s first sea lion release of 2025.

The dynamic duo—an adult female and a playful pup—were rescued in December after facing health challenges. Thanks to expert care from SeaWorld’s rescue team, they regained their strength and were ready to reclaim their ocean home. Camp Pendleton’s training beaches, closed to the public, provided the perfect peaceful setting for their big return.
