No foul play was suspected after the decomposing body of a man was found Thursday morning, Jan. 30, at a homeless encampment under the 91 Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol received a call around 9:53 a.m. from an individual believed to be living in the encampment. The man’s body was found under a tarp, and information on his identity or cause of death was unavailable, California Highway Patrol Officer Sergio Rivera said.
The encampment area was in a ravine under the eastbound 91 Freeway off-ramp at the exit of Glassell Street. Rivera said no lanes were closed, and traffic was not affected.
