On Jan. 16, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall affecting about 7,780 affected units that need to be replaced.
Vornado Air's VH2 Whole Room Heaters, sold exclusively on Amazon.com, have been recalled due to the issue where the "power cord can partially detach from the heater enclosure, which can lead to cord damage over time, posing electric shock and fire hazards."
The recalled units have a silver rating label on the bottom of the heater that includes a “JUL24” or “AUG24” date code as well as “TYPE VH2." Units with different date codes are not included in the recall.
