After noting that he doesn't personally live in L.A., Douglas referred to the fires as he said, "This is just a nightmare tragedy beyond anything I could've comprehended, or probably anybody else," noting that a "huge, huge number of people that have lost their homes and possibly don't have any insurance."
Douglas then stated that his late stepmother and father, Anne and Kirk Douglas, founded an organization called The Douglas Foundation, and he shared that it would be making a contribution to the American Red Cross that he would match.
