DENVER (KDVR) — An Aurora Walgreens was robbed Tuesday night, but police say two suspects from the robbery are in custody thanks to a GPS tracking device.
At about 6:48 p.m. on Tuesday, Aurora dispatchers were notified of a "SIERRA" alarm following a robbery at the Walgreens located at 18620 E. Iliff Ave. Dispatchers were told two suspects had robbed the pharmacy minutes before and made off with about $5,000 in oxycontin.

Aurora 911 dispatchers were given a live feed for the tracking device and relayed its location to officers, according to a department spokesperson. The suspects were tracked heading to a second Walgreens near the intersection of East Smoky Hill Road and South Aurora Parkway.
When officers arrived at the second Walgreens, the suspects fled on foot. Officers pursued and took both suspects into custody, according to an agency spokesperson. Details about the suspects, including names and ages, were not available Tuesday.
It's unclear if this incident is at all related to two Walgreens robberies reported in Commerce City and Northglenn in early December, where an armed suspect took narcotics and fled. No suspects were arrested in the case.
