Australia National Cricket Team skipper Pat Cummins added another silverware to his Trophy cabinet as he finally had his hands on the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Under his leadership, the team won the five-match Test series by the margin of 3-1 down under.
Cummins, with his leadership, also took the Australia National Cricket Team to the final of the ICC World Test Championship. This was the second time that under him, the team reached the final, having won the title in 2023 by beating the India National Cricket Team in the final.

Cummins, who will be becoming a father for the second time, said that he is most likely to miss the series due to the birth of his child, saying that he wants to be with his wife. Speaking to reporters, he explained:

Cummins also talked about the planning and success that is going on inside the team, saying that they always talk about the plans. He also stressed that now they have won the series, it's time for him to do family duties. He added:
"Once this Test match finishes, going back to being a full-time Dad and husband (and do) an even better enjoy than being a Test captain. I love it and feel really lucky.”
