Nitish Reddy also came up with a hilarious story for Mohammed Siraj, who allowed the all-rounder to get to his century. The fast bowler had to face three balls from Pat Cummins to allow Reddy to get on the strike. With the last wicket remaining, serious doubts were on the fast bowler.

Reddy remained unbeaten at 105 runs off 176 balls. He slammed 10 fours and 1 six in his innings before bad lights forced umpires to take early stumps on Day 2. He would be hoping to carry on on Day four and get some more runs under his belt to reduce the deficit, which is still 116 runs.
