ESPN’s FPI has a prediction for the Oklahoma vs. Navy game in the Armed Forces Bowl later this week.
FPI gives the 6-6 Sooners a 75.6% shot to shut down that vaunted Navy rushing attack in the noon ET kickoff on ESPN from Fort Worth.
Navy (9-3) had a renaissance season of sorts in 2024, starting 6-0 and being ranked. After the Midshipmen were brought back to earth by losing 3 of their next 4 games, Navy gathered itself and won its final 2 games, including a 31-13 victory over favored Army in the annual rivalry game.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma went through just about everything a team could go through in 1 fall. The Sooners fired offensive coordinator Seth Littrell in October, saw quarterback Jackson Arnold transfer to Auburn and lost 5 of their last 7 regular-season games after getting off to a solid 4-1 start.
Despite all of that drama and losing in such a short period of time, not to mention many other players transferring or opting out of the bowl game, FPI believes Brent Venables team can handle Navy to end a forgettable season with a victory.
Kickoff from the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth is set for 12 p.m. ET on Friday afternoon.
