DENVER (KDVR) — Wheat Ridge police are investigating a deadly crash on Kipling Street Monday morning.

At around 9:30 a.m., Wheat Ridge police officers were investigating a serious crash at West 44th Avenue and Kipling Street. The intersection is east of Prospect Lake.

Wheat Ridge police have released a few details about the crash but said one person was killed and two others were hospitalized in critical condition.

Police said the intersection will be shut down for hours and drivers are asked to avoid the area.
