The Pioneer Woman host’s oldest daughter, Alex, welcomed her own daughter, Sofia, in the early morning hours on Wednesday, Dec. 18. Alex and her husband, Mauricio Scott, shared some snapshots with their daughter later that day in a joint post on Instagram.
Drummond shared her own photo with Sofia on Instagram that same day, and later followed that initial post with a collection of snapshots on her blog. The handful of photos showed the newborn being held by Alex, Mauricio, Drummond, and Alex’s younger sister, Paige. See the snapshots here.
Drummond and her husband, Ladd, traveled from their ranch in Oklahoma to Dallas, Tex. to be at the hospital as Alex delivered her baby. However, Drummond wrote that she questioned the necessity of their presence, writing, “Mauricio attended to Alex's every need, to the point that the rest of us questioned if we even needed to be there. ?.”

“I'm saying that with as much objectivity as I can,” Drummond wrote. “But I'm not kidding...she is perfect.”
