He passed peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday December 7, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Mr. Babbitt was born April 24, 1943, in Wellsville NY, a son of the late Burnham Babbitt and Helen Rifenburg. He married Mary Jane Fanton on February 3, 1962. He was preceded in death by daughter, Stephanie Valentine. Mr. Babbitt worked for Dresser Rand as a machinist for 37 years, retiring in 2005. Donald and Mary were married for 62 years. They had the kind of love that is rare and were constantly by each other
