MONROE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two juveniles are in the hospital after a shooting in Monroe. Police were called to the 600 block of Skywatch Lane around 6:28 p.m. on Saturday. When officers arrived, they found a 12-year-old victim suffering a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a Charlotte-area hospital. Before officers arrived, a 15-year-old was shot and taken to a hospital. Police say both have life-threatening injuries. Officials say the shots were fired during a large street fight on Skywatch Lane. Detectives are actively investigating.
