NORTH CAROLINA (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- There are growing concerns about people possibly being kicked out of hotels used as emergency shelters after Hurricane Helene. Those concerns abound even after the Federal Emergency Management Agency extended the deadline for those people to stay. Last week FEMA officials said their original Transitional Sheltering Assistance (TSA) program was extended from Tuesday, Dec. 3, to Dec. 12. It gives people extra time to find another place to stay if they lost their home to Helene.
