Chula Vista’s police and fire departments will provide regular 24-hour service during the holiday, including 911 calls, officials said. The Chula Vista Police Department’s lobby will be closed Thursday through Sunday, but staff will continue to handle non-emergency reports. Officials said that during the holiday, the city’s Public Works department will provide emergency-only services, including streets and sewers, while trash pick-up will be delayed by one day.
