Courtesy of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office hosted a gun buy-back event in Chula Vista today, offering community members a chance to safely dispose of unwanted firearms. The event took place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the South Bay Courthouse in the 500 block of Third Avenue. A total of 112 firearms were turned in by the public during the event, according to the sheriff’s office.
