14 Votes Separate Final Angels Council Seat: Calaveras Supervisor Races Decided ...Middle East

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Elections Office is planning to count another round of ballots this coming Friday. Calaveras Clerk/Recorder Rebecca Turner recently stated that at least 13 ballots still remain to be counted in that final round. In addition, there are 161 challenged ballots with no signatures, or nonmatching signatures. Voters in this category have been notified and have until December 1st to address the issue with the Election’s Office. With so few ballots outstanding, it is clear that incumbent Gary Tofanelli will win re-election to his District One Supervisor seat. He has 2,310 votes to Tim Grant’s 2,094.
