SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A dog was shot and apparently killed by police in the area of Fillmore and Eddy streets and in the area of Geary Boulevard and Steiner Street on Friday. According to the San Francisco Police Department, a call came in at 11 a.m. regarding two or more dogs attacking a smaller dog at Fillmore and Eddy. Bystanders, police said, tried to intervene and pepper-sprayed the dogs. Crews from a nearby firehouse arrived at the scene, which was in the Safeway Shopping Center parking lot. At the scene, San Francisco Fire Department personnel found a man with bites to his hands and arms. The man was taken to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital by SFFD medics. Poli
