Sacramento, CA — Republican David Tangipa is preparing to represent the Mother Lode as the Assemblymember for District 8. After coming in second place in the March Primary to fellow Republican George Radanovich, Tangipa leaped over Radanovich in the General Election. This past March, Radanovich had 36%, Tangipa 31% and Democrat Caleb Heisel had 29%. With only two candidates on the General Election ballot, Tangipa seemingly attracted more of the votes that went to Heisel. Tangipa currently has 85,408 votes (52.5%) compared to Radanovich’s 77,273 (47.5%).
