DENVER (KDVR) — A suspect was taken into custody after allegedly firing multiple shots and injuring an Auraria Campus Police Officer early Monday morning. The Auraria Campus, which houses facilities for the University of Colorado Denver, Community College of Denver and the Metropolitan State University of Denver, said an incident occurred at around 1:18 a.m. near W. Colfax Avenue and 7th Street. According to Auraria, two campus officers approached a suspect who allegedly assaulted one of the officers while trying to trespass into a car.
