The 83-year-old Mr. Fairchild and his wife Shannon were both residents of Smith County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carthage where he was pronounced deceased at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday evening October 9, 2024. Mr. Fairchild was at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home and was to be cremated at the Cumberland Family Services in Algood. The family will hold no public services.
