Veteran actor Abid Kashmiri passes away in Lahore aged 74

His daughter confirmed that he had been struggling with health issues for some time prior to his death . Kashmiri's career spanned several decades, during which he appeared in numerous television dramas, stage performances, and films. Notably, he received the prestigious Nigar Award for Best Comedian in 1988 for his remarkable performance in "Bazaar-e-Husn" .

He was known for his versatile acting skills and received widespread acclaim for his performances.

The late actor is survived by two sons and two daughters. Recently, he had returned to Pakistan and made appearances on various TV talk shows, although he had been residing in the United States.

Kashmiri was also honored with the Nigar Award for comedy for his role in the 1988 film “Bazar-e-Husan.”
