DENVER (KDVR) – Three occupants of a home that caught fire early Sunday morning in Centennial were evacuated safely, and the cause was found to be an unattended fire pit outside, according to South Metro Fire Rescue. The fire happened in the 6100 block of South Kirk Street. The fire was first reported at 2:10 a.m., according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office. All three people in the house were safely evacuated and were being assisted by the American Red Cross of Colorado.
