CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Shelby woman has been arrested in connection to a 37-year-old cold case out of Riverside, California. According to the Riverside Police Department, on October 13, 1987, a newborn baby was found dead inside a dumpster behind a business. The newborn girl's death was ruled a homicide by the Riverside County Coroner's Office.
