The unidentified pedestrian, who appeared to be about 18, was struck in the 1100 block of North Fig Street shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, EPD Officer Paul Smyth said. “At 9:26 p.m., a 911 caller reported that the victim was unconscious in the street and a vehicle was heard speeding south away from the scene,” the officer said. “The victim may have been on a skateboard at the time of the crash.” The victim was taken to a hospital where he remained in critical condition Friday,
