(KRON) -- A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in San Jose, the San Jose Police Department said. The crash happened around 4:21 p.m. in the area of Leigh Avenue and Camden Avenue. The pedestrian, identified by SJPD as a juvenile, died at the scene, police said. The driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the police investigation. "Traffic will be heavily impacted," SJPD said. Westbound Camden Avenue from Leigh Avenue to Charmeran Avenue reopened after being closed for several hours. The death marks the 30th traffic fatality in San Jose.
