NEWTON FALLS — Shirley L. Sayres, age 84, of Newton Falls, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at her residence. She was born on July 24, 1939, in Hamilton, the daughter of the late Joseph S. Minton and Louisa Hurley Minton. Shirley had lived in Newton Falls since 1968, formerly of Hamilton. She was a dedicated housewife and mother to four daughters. Shirley attended the First Baptist Church in Newton Falls. She loved reading her Bible, walking, gardening, traveling through Amish country and spending time with her grandkids.
